Khirbet El-Marajim, a small Palestinian community at the outskirts of the Duma village, is struggling for survival.
During the last years, the community endured a number of violent attacks by the settlers from the nearby outposts, including arson of houses and cars, pepper spraying, severe physical violence and harassment directed at adults and children alike. In addition, one of the houses has recently been demolished by the Civil Administration.
On 5 April, the IDF issued a closed military zone order for an entire year. The order is selectively enforced so that the human rights activists protecting the residents are forced out, while settlers, including those directly responsible for vicious attacks, are allowed to roam into the premises. This places the community in immediate danger of violent expulsion.
We created this website to raise awareness to the plight of the residents of Marajim and the unconscionable abandonment of their basic rights by the IDF, Israel's government, and the international community. We ask that you help us save Marajim and protect its residents.
